A Catholic priest has warned about the dangers of unwittingly unleashing evil spirits into the home - as they are so hard to get rid of.
Ouija boards are dangerous like Ebola and shouldn't be used over Christmas, according to a concerned Catholic Priest.
An updated version of the séance kit is expected to be high up on many wish lists this year, thanks to the popularity of the Olivia Cooke film Ouija.
But an anonymous Catholic priest has warned about the dangers of unwittingly unleashing evil spirits into the home - as they are so hard to get rid of.
"People, especially young people and teenagers who are likely to experiment with Ouija boards on a whim, can be very naive in thinking that they are only contacting the departed souls of loved-ones when they attempt to communicate with the dead using the boards," he told the Irish Independent.
"It’s like going to some parts of Africa and saying I’m personally immune to Ebola, but it does leave people open to all kinds of spiritual dangers."
Darren Ansell from the Paranormal Study and Investigation team said he wouldn’t touch an Ouija board with a barge pole.
