Paranormal investigator visits local salon.
By: Erin Nichols - It's a local beauty salon and spa known for its welcoming atmosphere, but
over the years employees have been experiencing a most unwelcome presence.
“I was working late one night and I ended up having to close the salon,” said stylist Victoria
Mireles. “I was fine, but then after my guest left I was like ‘oh no. I’m here alone!’”
According to Mireles and other employees, the salon is haunted.
The owner asked us not to name the salon, but said it was converted from an old house
where the previous owner died.
And rumor has it, the salon was built on grounds where a saloon once stood.
“Even though it's not harmful it's still a little freaky,” said Mireles.
Mireles experienced her first creepy encounter during a group meeting.
“We heard like moving furniture up on the ceiling, like people walking, but on top of us
is just roof,” said Mireles.
One of the team members felt something bite her, and Mireles felt someone tickle her
back.
“We knew something else was here with us,” she said.
Employees and customers claim they’ve noticed other strange phenomenon over the years
including doors opening by themselves and hearing voices.
To find out more about the creepy experiences, the owner hired paranormal investigator Jason McLeod.
Mcleod has been investigating hauntings and other strange incidents since he was in college
and claims he's gifted with being able to detect the supernatural.
“I just pick up emotion and pick up names and information,” said McLeod.
He also claims to help trapped spirits cross over.
“Most spirits are spirits of human beings who once animated their bodies and have left their
bodies,” said McLeod. “They’re in a free state, but then there are other spirits who are dark
and dangerous.”
Jason begins his investigation by going through the salon.
He said he sensed three female spirits in the upstairs portion of the spa, which he believed were
once prostitutes when the salon was allegedly a salon.
In another room, he sensed a male spirit and something darker.
“Definitely something dirty was going on here,” said McLeod. “I’m getting this person was a mortician.”
Mcleod then held a séance with his team to help the spirits cross over.
When it ended, Mireles said she immediately noticed a change.
“It’s just like a calm feeling,” said Mireles.
Mcleod was confident the salon was purged of all lost souls, and advises that if you suspect
your home or business is haunted, treat those spirits with respect.
“These are beings just like you or I who need help desperately,” said McLeod.
